The highest management body of the World Alliance for Low Carbon Cities is its Board. The board ensures that the Alliance adheres to the principles and guidelines established in the Alliance’s Articles of Operation.

The role of the board will initially be to provide the support for the direction of the operational activities and also provide suggestions for new initiatives, either for research projects or commercial undertakings. 

On the 4th of October, 2017, the WALCC annual meeting selected the following persons as the board of the WALCC for the upcoming year, begining January 2nd, 2018.

Reframing City Districts (ReCiDi)

A research project conducted by the Universities of Turku and Tampere which aims to form a new conceptual framework which will help shape the collective identity and common vision necessary to realize the future low-carbon and sustainability targets.

An action learning and research project conducted by Aalto University and the University of Tampere which aimed to form a better understanding of the architectural requirements for successful innovation projects.
