The Deputy Mayor of Tampere Pekka Salmi was joined by the jury tasked with selecting the winning design for a planned redesigning of the Tammela Stadion, an outdoor soccer stadium in the Tammela region which is the focus of the activity at the container in the Tammela market square

In an interview in local media Salmi reported that the six finalists on display were good starts for future planning but were, as yet, not quite ready to move directly into production. Following the announcement of the winner on October 1st, the planning committee will come to a decision regarding the future plans for the stadium.

The University of Tampere's citizen participation Living Lab project currently underway in the Tammela market square supports the ongoing development by providing a channel for community feedback, which Salmo emphasizes will continue to guide development.
