We welcome you to join us for our 17th bi-annual Forum at the Hanaholmen Culture Center in Hanasaari, Espoo, Finland. This year’s Autumn Forum will address the theme of the Responsible City. The Forum will consider the implications of the growing impact of climate change and increased regulation on how cities govern, serve, and motivate their residents. This theme will be addressed in panel discussions dedicated to understanding the perspectives of the public sector, in a Mayor’s Panel, and the private sector, in a CEO’s panel as well as panel’s focusing on innovation and policy. The Forum will engage participants through breakout sessions addressing three key aspects of the future development, with streams exploring Sustainability, Mobility, and Wellbeing. The WALCC will also organize visits to select sites in the capital region and beyond to introduce visitors to the Finnish companies and cities representing the leading edge in sustainable development.
