The inaugural members of the World Alliance for Low Carbon Cities were officially inaugurated into the Alliance at the 2nd Low Carbon City Development World Forum, held in Beijing from the 14th to the 15th of May. These members include: companies pursuing low-carbon technology development or otherwise integrating low-carbon into their businesses; a group of cities from across the world committed to the pursuit of low-carbon urban development; and research institutions and universities engaged in research in the field of low-carbon development.
