Alliance members Schneider Electric and KONE  were ranked among the world’s greenest companies, 10th and 12th respectively, in a recent ranking conducted by Newsweek together with investment advisory and research firm Corporate Knights Capital. The ranking assessed the corporate sustainability and environmental impact of the world’s largest corporations.

The ranking system assesses the relative sustainability of the world’s largest 500 companies’ operations according to a series of metrics which attempt to address those aspects which cut across all industries, thereby enabling a comparison of companies in vastly different industries. A more detailed breakdown of the ranking system’s specifics is available at Newsweek’s Green Rankings section.
