Focus areas
The Alliance’s founding members, researchers from Tsinghua University and Aalto University together with the Synocus Group, have identified four areas which constitute the core issues related to the development of low-carbon cities.
These four areas are: Urban Planning, Urban Transport, Green Buildings and Renewable Resources.
By focusing research on these areas the Alliance’s founders aim to provide a roadmap for cities seeking to transform themselves into more sustainable, low-carbon cities. These four core areas also serve to provide companies and researchers interested in participating in the Alliance with a variety of examples of how they may help to advance low-carbon development.
